As a teenager viewing Donald McCullin’s documentary work I was stunned, and convinced I’d photograph conflicts to help end “man’s inhumanity to man.”
After graduating from Napier College in Scotland I worked as an ophthalmic photographer for 15 years. This experience taught the artist in me that being a professional photographer means, “Getting the images every time.” No excuses!
Now I shoot weddings and despite the lack of conflict, there simply is nothing like the “thump” in my gut as I capture images that are beyond the ordinary for my clients.
